Careers page software for a startup comes in two shapes: a page builder that sends applicants to an ATS you already have, or an ATS that includes a page. For a startup under 20 people, the second is cheaper and simpler: Homerun (from €109 a month), Workable (from $299) and Teamtailor (quote only) all publish a careers page from the roles you open, and Atrix includes one in a $39-a-month workspace. hire.page is the pure builder and is free during early access, as of October 2026.
We publish our own roles from the tool we build, and we have paid for one of the others. This post ranks five options on what a founder actually asks: what does it cost, how does the apply flow work for the candidate, and is applicant tracking included or a second purchase.
What a careers page needs to do
A careers page is three things, and the tools below differ on each.
- A public page per role, at a URL you can post to LinkedIn and job boards, with the company's name and branding and ideally on your own domain.
- An apply flow that collects a CV and a few answers without making the candidate create an account, and writes the application into a pipeline rather than an inbox.
- A pipeline behind it, where the people who interview see the candidates, leave notes, and move them between stages. This is the ATS, and whether it is included is the main price difference.
The free-tier question deserves a straight answer, because the research we started from had it unconfirmed. As of October 2026: Homerun has no free plan (15-day trial, no card). Workable has no free plan (15-day trial, no card). Teamtailor does not publish prices or a free tier. hire.page says "free during early access" on its homepage, with no published paid plans. Atrix has no free plan (7-day trial, card required).
Careers page tools compared (October 2026)
| Tool | Type | Price as of October 2026 | Apply flow | Own domain | ATS included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Homerun | ATS with careers page builder | Core €109 a month billed annually (€139 monthly), 3 job slots; Plus €195 annually (€215 monthly), 5 job slots | Branded form per role, no candidate account | Yes, listed as a feature | Yes |
| Workable | Dedicated ATS | Standard $299 a month ($3,588 a year) for 1 to 20 employees; Premier $599; Enterprise $719 | Form per role, candidate profile | Yes | Yes, with sourcing and AI agents on credits |
| Teamtailor | ATS with careers site | Quote only; unlimited users and job postings | Branded career site with blocks | Yes | Yes |
| hire.page | Careers page builder | Free during early access; no published paid plans | Links to your ATS | Not stated on the homepage | No; integrates with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and others |
| Atrix | Hiring inside an all-in-one workspace | Builder $39 a month for 5 seats, Studio $149 for 15 seats; whole workspace, 20% off yearly | Public page per role, form writes to the pipeline | No | Yes: roles, pipeline, notes, hire to teammate |
Homerun's pricing page shows two price sets under a monthly/annual toggle; we read the lower pair (€109, €195) as annual. Its comparison table also lists Light, Basic and Plus tiers with different slot counts, which did not match the cards, so check the page for the current lineup. Workable's price depends on employee headcount, with nine tiers from 1 to 20 up to 1,000 or more.
1. Homerun: the cheapest dedicated option with a real page builder
Homerun is built for companies that hire a few people at a time and want the careers page to look like their website. The builder is block-based, every role gets a branded application form, and the pipeline behind it is simple enough that a founder uses it without training. Core at €109 a month billed annually gives you 3 job slots, which means three roles open at once; Plus at €195 gives five, with extra slots purchasable. Employee seats beyond the included number cost €4 a month each.
The limits: pricing is in euros and pounds only, job slots are the thing you run out of, and there is no free plan. For a startup opening two to four roles a year, it is the best-fit dedicated tool in this list.
2. Workable: the full ATS, priced for companies that hire often
Workable Standard is $299 a month ($3,588 a year) for a company with 1 to 20 employees, and the price rises with headcount. For that you get a careers page, job board posting, a candidate sourcing database, a Job Brief Agent on every plan, and 3,000 AI credits a month for its screening, sourcing and engagement agents, with credit packs sold on top (5,000 for $600 as of October 2026). Premier at $599 and Enterprise at $719 add texting, video interviews and assessments.
Workable is the right choice if you hire monthly and want sourcing and screening in the same tool. It is the wrong choice if you open three roles a year; you would pay $3,588 for a page.
3. Teamtailor: a careers site first, quote-only pricing
Teamtailor's pitch is employer branding: the careers site is a proper site with pages, blocks, team photos and a blog, not a list of roles. Users and job postings are unlimited, and Teamtailor AI is included. Pricing is not published; the page says "tell us a little about your company and we'll get back to you with a price", and third-party estimates we saw ranged from about $229 a month upwards on annual contracts, which we could not verify and do not rely on.
Pick it if the careers site matters as much as the pipeline and you are comfortable with an annual contract. Skip it if you want to see a price before a call.
4. hire.page: a builder that points at your ATS
hire.page is the one pure careers page builder on this list. Its homepage, as of October 2026, says it is free during early access and that it integrates with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby "and other major ATS platforms" rather than being an ATS itself. There are no published paid plans, job limits or custom domain details on the page, so we cannot tell you what it will cost once early access ends.
It suits a startup that already pays for Ashby or Greenhouse and wants a nicer page than the default. It does not suit a startup with no ATS, because the applications have to go somewhere.
5. Atrix: the careers page that comes with the workspace
Atrix is the tool we build, so read this with that in mind. Every plan includes hiring: you open a role, it publishes to a public careers page, the apply form writes the candidate into a pipeline with stages, teammates leave notes and move candidates, and hiring someone creates their teammate record. The people who interview are already in the workspace because the projects, docs, chat and calendar are there too, which is the practical difference from a dedicated ATS: no second login for the engineer who interviews twice a quarter.
The limits, plainly: the careers page is on Atrix's domain, not yours; there is no AI resume screening or scoring; no job board multiposting; no sourcing database; and the page is a list of roles with your company details, not a site builder. Builder is $39 a month for 5 seats and Studio $149 for 15, with 20% off yearly, and there is no free plan. If the careers page is the only thing you need, Homerun does it better. If you need the workspace anyway, the page is included. The hiring feature page lists exactly what is there.
How to choose for a startup
- Count roles per year, not employees. Under five roles a year, a page builder plus a spreadsheet or a workspace with hiring built in is enough. Over ten, buy an ATS.
- Decide whether the domain matters. Candidates mostly arrive from a job board link and do not look at the URL. If your brand depends on it, Homerun, Workable and Teamtailor support your own domain; Atrix does not.
- Try the apply flow as a candidate. Open the trial, publish a test role, apply from your phone. Count the fields. Every extra required field loses applicants.
- Check who needs a login. If four engineers interview, four seats on a dedicated ATS may cost more than the plan. Workspace tools include them.
- Read the slot limits. Homerun sells job slots; Workable sells by headcount; Teamtailor says unlimited. Match the model to how you hire.
FAQ
What is the best careers page software for a startup?
For a startup under 20 people opening a few roles a year, Homerun (from €109 a month billed annually, as of October 2026) is the best dedicated option because the page builder and the ATS are one product. If you already run on a workspace tool that includes hiring, such as Atrix, use that first. If you already have an ATS, hire.page adds a page in front of it.
Is there free careers page software?
As of October 2026, hire.page is free during early access, with no published paid plans. Homerun, Workable and Atrix have trials (15, 15 and 7 days) but no free plan. Teamtailor does not publish a free tier.
Does a careers page need an ATS behind it?
Yes, if you want applications to land somewhere other than an inbox. Homerun, Workable, Teamtailor and Atrix include one. hire.page does not and expects you to connect Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or similar.
Can I put the careers page on my own domain?
Homerun lists a custom domain for the career page as a feature, Workable and Teamtailor support career sites on your domain, and hire.page does not state it on its homepage. Atrix's careers page is on Atrix's domain.
How much does careers page software cost?
From €109 a month (Homerun Core, billed annually) to $299 a month (Workable Standard) for a dedicated tool, as of October 2026. Atrix includes a careers page in a $39-a-month workspace plan. Teamtailor is quote only.
